Abstract:
Along the last 50 years, the great progresses in the tendon surgery leed the therapist to institute earlier and more ’’agressive’’ postoperative rehabilitation programme. Immediate reeducation after flexor tendon surgery in zone II is absolutely necessary for o good functional result and the various terapeutical protocols force the physiotherapist to take difficult choises. This study reports the comparativ results following the combination of some elements between passive-active and active protocols for 40 patients. The patients were evaluated regarding the total active motion (TAM), grip strength, pinch strenght, dexterity (Nine-Hole Peg test) and a health assesment questionaire for activities of daily living (ADL) after 8 weeks postoperative. After the treatment we report an improvement in group B (n=20) comparative to group A(n=20) with 9% for TAM excellent results, 15% for grip strenght, 4% for pinch strenght, 7% for dexterity and 11% for ADL. We conclude that by association and comparation of some elements from different terapeutical protocols it is poosible to achieve better results.
