Abstract:
During the last decades there were substantial advances in surgical management of adrenal gland tumors, result of multidisciplinary collaboration in the field of molecular biology, genetics, the biological diagnosis, imaging and laparoscopic and robotic surgical treatment. We present herein the latest data regarding the diagnosis and surgical management of adrenal tumors. Laparoscopic adrenalectomy tends to become the gold standard approach for adrenal tumors. The role of the new techniques like robotic surgery and augmented reality laparoscopic adrenalectomy are presented and discussed.
